Ye-A

Ye-A (예아) was a girl group initially under Kiroy Company, and which then passed into Shinhoo Entertainment. They debuted on July 17, 2014 with their digital single National Treasure which contained their only track Up And Down.

After Kiroy Company was purchased by Shinhoo Entertainment, updates of the girl group were no longer released. They are assumed to the group disbanded sometime in late 2015 without any official statement.

The company stopped uploading content to their official youtube channel on May 17, 2015.

History[]

2014: Debut[]

The group debuted on July 17, 2014 with their digital single National Treasure which contained their only song Up And Down in collaboration with the singer Jay, ex-member of BTL

The group was originally going to have 4 members, all planned by Yang Jung Seung, but at some point this was changed, so in the end the group debuted with a total of 8 girls in the final line-up, Hyei, Dohye, Pier, Yigyer, Kazoo, Yeorin, Hady and Chai.

The group's was present for Kiroy Company's Christmas party and show.

2015: Company change and group disbandment[]

Sometime around November 2015, Kiroy Company was purchased by Shinhoo Company, Yang Jung Seung left the company and established a new one, currently known as Jackpot Entertainment. Due to this change, almost all the artists from Kiroy Entertainment now belonged to Shinhoo Entertainment, including Ye-A, except Yeorin and Yigyer who were no longer listed as artists under Shinhoo, so they had to leave the group.

During this time, the Ye-A group's social networks stopped uploading content so they became inactive, their Twitter and Fancafe was closed down. No official updates of the groups disbandment was announced, but it was assumed to have happened.

Former Member's Future[]

In an issue of Nailholic magazine published in June 2016 Hyei, Dohye and Pier said that they planned to re-debut as a 3-member group under the name "Madeleine" in the end, this was never done and each took a different path.

On October 26, 2017, Pier, now known as Haeyeon, debuted as a member of the Gate9 group. Later, the group was re-formed to re-debut as Geegu.

On May 11, 2018, Kazoo, now using her real name, Kwon Eunbi, was announced as a contestant on Produce 48 along with Sohee, Suyun (now members of Rocket Punch) and Chaewon as a trainees under Woollim Entertainment. She finished the competition at number 7 in the rankings and debuted as a member of the project group IZ*ONE.
